Doodle, the King of the Dragon

as heard in The Dragon King

Was ever combined in a kobold so fine
a heart o' such boldness an' grace?
As brave as a lion without even tryin',
a couragey frown on his face!

Our hero--he!
Unworthy--we!
Sing out for his doodle-ly fame!

Sing Ho! Sing Hey! Sing Lie-de-lay!
Ho for the King o' the Dragon!
Sing Hoo! Sing Hie! Sing Lay-de-lie!
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-gon!

As tall as a bear but without so much hair,
as pretty as pretty could ask.
An' no-one but he (by the gods' own decree)
was chose for this noblesome task.

Our hero--he!
Unworthy--we!
So dance to his doodle-ly fame!

Dance on! Dance long! Dance till the dawn!
Dance for the King o' the Dragon!
Dance in! Dance out! Dance round about!
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-gon!

The dragon he faced in a turrible place,
an' paid he a turrible price!
He took in his hand to save Hagenspan,
an' shirked not the sac-a-rifice.

Our hero--he!
Unworthy--we!
So drink to his doodle-ly fame!

Drink up! Drink up! Then fill your cup!
Drink to the King o' the Dragon!
Drink deep! Drink long! And join the song:
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-gon!

The dragon he kilt by the force o' his will
an' set all the human folk free.
Now, though he is gone, his glory lives on:
The King o' the Kobolds is he!

Our hero--he!
Unworthy--we!
Bow down to his doodle-ly name!

Sing Ho! Sing Hey! Sing Lie-de-lay!
Ho for the King o' the Dragon!
Sing Hoo! Sing Hie! Sing Lay-de-lie!
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-gon!
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-gon!
Doodle the King o' the Dra-a-a-a-a-a-gon!
