Billy Vernon Wynne
Weight: 206 lbs.
Born: July 31, 1943 in Williamston, NC
Signed: 1965 by the Mets
Departed: traded to the Chicago White Sox with Buddy Booker, Tommy Davis, and Jack Fisher for Tommie Agee and Al Weis, December 1967
Started one game for the Mets in 1967, and had one pretty good season in the big leagues for the White Sox in 1969. The card pictured at the top of this page is from the 1971 Topps set, a pretty nice copy of a high-numbered card. Interestingly, four of Billy's eight career wins in the big leagues came against the Angels, with whom he's pictured here!
