They called him "The Hammer." Okay, he wasn't the second coming of Henry Aaron, but he did share first base with Ed Kranepool for most of the '70s. He's shown here in 1973 World Series action on 1998 Fleer Sports Illustrated World Series Fever. John is also shown below on four cards illustrating the wide variety of creative poses Topps used for their subjects during the 1970s.
