When Izzy burst on the scene in 1995 with that 9-2, 2.81 record, Met fans thought they were seeing a future Cy Young award winner. Nope. He did become a dominant reliever with the Athletics, though, and then moved on to St. Louis via free agency. Returned at last for a New York curtain call in 2011 and recorded his 300th save late in the season. Pictured here on a 1996 Bowman's Best Cuts card; there are more cards shown below.
