A little-known fact: Jim Gosger was part of the Mets' squad in both 1969 and 1973, the first two times that they went to the World Series. He also played for the Athletics during their first year in Oakland, the Seattle Pilots the only season they existed, and joined the expansion Montreal Expos in only their second season. Another little-known fact, and one that almost defies explanation: toward the end of his career, the Mets actually traded four players to reacquire him. Four! Here he is on his 1967 Topps card.
