Jeremi was not supposed to be in the Mets' plans for 2006 … but fate and injuries to pitchers have a strange way of messing with the Mets' plans. Shown here is Jeremi's 2004 Fleer Tradition card. Fate turned out to have a strange way with Jeremi too … he was struck by lightning and killed when he was only 33 years old.
