The Glider helped nail down third base during the miracle season of 1969, and then happily retired from playing. True Met fans will recognize the picture at the right as being his celebratory leap following the final out of the '69 World Series, courtesy of 1994 Upper Deck All-Time Heroes. He's pictured below on a Topps Stand-Up card and coin from 1964.
