Tony Armas

Antonio Jose Armas
Batted: Right
Threw: Right
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 225 lbs.
Born: April 29, 1978 in Puerto Piritu, Venezuela
Signed: 1994 by the New York Yankees
Acquired: as a free agent, February 2008
Departed: as a free agent, October 2008

Commonly known as Tony Armas, Junior, but his name is not precisely the same as his famous home-run-hitting father, who was Antonio Rafael Armas Machado. Nearly made a name for himself as a pretty good pitcher, but years of injuries diminished his effectiveness. Shown here on 2002 Topps Heritage, and on more cards below.
